Taking part in UNICEFs Tiny Stories campaign

Here is the Story of Pan Feng, a Girl Orphaned by China’s Economic Progress, for the UNICEF Tiny Stories Campaign #ForEveryChild

Nine-year-old Pan Feng lives with her siblings and their grandma in a poor village in Guizhou.

When she was two, her parents, like many other villagers, left to work as migrant laborers.

Once a year, during the Chinese New Year, her parents return, bringing back clothes and coconut candies before leaving again after two weeks.

Every year, Little Feng asks to go with her parents, but is apologetically told that it’s not possible.

Little Feng goes to school; back home she feeds the pigs, does her homework and then practices a dance, hoping her parents will love it so much that they’ll stay forever.
