Jiuhuashan

Each time I visit my family in Nanjing, I take my mother for an outing. This morning we went to Jiuhuashan 九华山 Park, a little hidden gem. The pagoda here houses the skull cap of renowned Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang whose journey to India for the Buddhist manuscript inspired the novel The Journey to the West. The park is fenced on one side by the Ming city wall and overlooking the lovely Xuanwu

Lake.
